When to Choose SkinTyte

SkinTyte won’t produce the same dramatic results as surgical skin tightening procedures and isn’t ideal for patients with severe skin laxity, but it can help patients in their 30s, 40s, and up, who aren’t quite ready for a facelift or neck lift, get noticeably firmer, more youthful-looking skin.
What to Expect During SkinTyte Treatment
Infrared Light skin treatments, as with laser skin treatments, require that eye protection must be worn during the SkinTyte procedure and the face must be cleansed prior to treatment. A cooling gel may also be applied to your skin to ensure you are comfortable throughout the treatment.
During the SkinTyte procedure, gentle infared light energy is delivered to the treatment area(s) with a handpiece and filter specially designed to heat deep skin tissues while keeping surface skin tissues cool and unaffected. Heating the deep dermal layers of your skin will cause increased collagen production that encourages sagging skin to contract and tighten.
SkinTyte treatment usually takes less than an hour to perform, and a series of two to five treatments is recommended to achieve optimal results. SkinTyte may also be combined with ProFractional Laser or Broad Band Light (BBL) treatments to provide comprehensive skin rejuvenation.
Recovery and Results
There is no recovery period after SkinTyte and patients may return to work and their normal daily activities immediately following the procedure. Mild to moderate redness is expected and swelling may occur following treatment. These temporary side effects should resolve within a few days. After your SkinTyte treatment series is complete, collagen modeling will gradually increase over the next three to six months, and you will notice your skin grow tighter, firmer and more youthful-looking.
