Meet the Staff

We are a small group who takes pride in offering personalized care for all of our patients, but this wouldn't be possible if Dr. McMenamin wasn't supported by our talented and friendly staff.

During your experience at the Cosmetic Surgery Center of Sacramento, you will meet and be assisted by Gina, Catherine, Beth, Pam, Kristi, or Dana.

Gina Towne, Practice Manager

Gina has been with our practice for 20 years and calls herself “a Jill of all trades.” She handles all financial matters, human resources, and patient scheduling, and puts together pre-op information packets to make the patient experience easier and more efficient. You’ll find her at the reception desk each morning, where she enjoys interacting face-to-face with patients, escorting new patients in to meet Dr. McMenamin, and seeing former patients return for additional procedures and services.

Gina appreciates the team and family spirit of the practice, noting that we’ve all been here for many years. She credits her longevity with the practice to the fact that she can be helpful every day, using her accumulated knowledge and ability to talk with patients and answer questions about procedures, costs, and the overall physical enhancement experience.

Gina says: “It means a lot to me that our patients talk to me and ask questions; that they appreciate the fact that they’re treated with respect and consideration, and to know that they like us.” She points out that Dr. McMenamin and his staff share the goal of wanting each patient to be the best they can be: “We’re not only interested in their physical appearance; we want to know about their health and wellbeing, which life events are coming up for them, and what’s important to them at any given point in time. Dr. Mac is very intelligent and discerning; he’s not overly influenced by the so-called “newer and better” procedures and claims touted in the media. Instead, he’s focused on what will really work for each patient - what can be accomplished safely and how it can be achieved, in order to get the best possible results.”

She adds that he is a great doctor to work for, treating his staff as well as he treats his patients. “I like so many things about my job: working with Dr. Mac, meeting new patients and getting to know them over time. I also like seeing former patients return and send their friends and family members to us - and hearing them say how happy they are with Dr. McMenamin, our team, and with the results he achieves on their behalf.”

Catherine Lown, PA-C

Physician Assistant, Catherine “Cathi” Lown, whom Dr. McMenamin refers to as “my right hand,” has been with our practice for over 20 years. She provides pre-op and post-op patient exams and counseling, patient treatments such as Botox and Dysport, Juvederm and Restylane, and laser/infrared light skin treatments. She also assists Dr. Mac on most surgical procedures. Cathi says it’s important for patients to be well prepared and informed about the procedures they undergo. Having everything they need in the way of supplies and support ahead of time ensures a smooth, stress-reduced recovery regardless of the extent of the surgery and treatments.

“We want our patients to receive all the input and reassurance they need so that their time with us is a positive experience. They feel much more comfortable knowing that we are available to them, both during and after their procedures."

Cathi considers working with Dr. Mac to be one of the highlights of her job and says, "He’s very appreciative of all our team does in his practice. He’s honest and diligent in his communication with our patients, and he’s a very talented surgeon - whether we’re doing faces, breasts, or body sculpting. Our patients appreciate his daily check-ins with them after their surgeries. To put them at ease, we want them to know that their healing experience is normal. When patients are given reassurance, they require less pain medication and feel better faster. Conversing regularly with post-op patients enables us to pick up on possible problems early. It is important for patients to know we’re there for them.”

Cathi also points out that Dr. McMenamin is great at discussing the treatment options and coming to an agreement on what is realistically possible in attaining their aesthetic goals. "Patients are going to get great, personalized care from Dr. Mac – and from all of us here - because our patient’s safety, peace of mind, and pleasing esthetic results, without complications, are our top priorities."

Beth Foy, RN

Beth is a graduate of Gloucester County College in Sewell, NJ. She worked in the OB-Gyn department at Sutter Memorial Hospital before taking time off to raise her three children. She now works perdium in our operating room monitoring patients.

Pamela Davis, RN

Pam is a graduate of the CA State University, Chico. She has worked many years as a neonatal nurse and CPR Instructor and now, also works perdium in our operating room.

Besides being a talented RN, Pam is a great hand-holder, has a great sense of humor, and has a real knack at putting patients at ease.

Kristi Kreun, Patient Coordinator

Kristi is relatively new in the office. She coordinates patient appointments, schedules surgeries, and is very knowledgeable of the different procedures performed in our facility. Kristi's background is in athletic training and wellness, values held in high regard in this facility.

Dana McMenamin, Marketing Coordinator

Dana worked in the office for many years as our Patient Coordinator. Now retired, she continues to work at the front desk when needed. She also researches, designs, and coordinates much of the marketing endeavors of the practice.

Fonda Jo Franyovich, Licensed Skin Care Therapist, Esthetician

Fonda Jo has been affiliated with our practice for many years, first as a skincare sales representative and now running her own esthetic business, "Finishes." Fonda offers many years of skin care experience and treatments.

Carol Yager, Medical Esthetician, Massage Therapist, Permanent Makeup

Carol has maintained her esthetic and massage therapy practice in the Sacramento area for many years. She specializes in a wide range of skincare therapies and is a certified massage therapist. She also is an artist at applying and maintaining permanent tattooed makeup to eyes, brows, and lips.
