Submentoplasty
Procedure: The
younger person’s face and neck lift for ages thirty to fifty with very good
skin elasticity. Liposuction and tissue sculpturing is accomplished through a
single incision under the chin. A significant tightening of the outer and lower
face and neck can be attained for a more youthful and pleasing profile. In many,
this procedure postpones the need for a face and neck lift.
Length of surgery:
One hour in our accredited outpatient office surgery suite.
Anesthesia:
Local anesthesia with monitored IV sedation.
Side effects:
Bruising, swelling, numbness about the incision (usually temporary), discomfort
(minimal).
Risks/Complications:
Excessive bleeding, infection, permanent numbness, permanent nerve damage of the
face (rare), excessive scarring, infection, reaction to anesthesia.
Recovery time:
Back to sedentary work and activity in 7 days, return to normal activities in
two weeks for most people.
Permanence:
