Browlift (Forehead Lift)

A browlift raises the eyebrows to improve sagging upper eyelid skin, grooves between the eyebrows, and lines on the forehead.  Gravity takes its toll on our face as we age. Sometimes, heredity and environment also play as factors. This procedure can improve the furrows and knitted brows that can give you an unintended tired, angry or sad appearance.

In women, the incisions are usually made at, or behind the hairline. (Incisions at the hairline will help shorten the vertical height and appearance of the forehead, while incisions behind the hairline will tend to elongate the forehead.) Skin and muscle tissue are removed to raise the eyebrow level to a more youthful location while smoothing grooves and lines to give a more rested, normal appearance.

In men, incisions are usually made at the brow line or utilize a pre-existing crease of the forehead.
