Botox and Fillers

Botox® Cosmetic

Botox Cosmetic is a very popular treatment in Sacramento, and it has a long, proven history.

Sacramento facial plastic surgeon Dr. McMenamin uses Botox for the temporary correction of facial wrinkles, usually on the forehead and brow area. The injection can remove frown lines for several months.

Dysport®

Dysport is an injectable product, made with botulinum toxin, that can temporarily remove frown lines.

The doctor may use Dysport to treat crow's feet, horizontal creases on the forehead and vertical lines on the forehead, between the eyes.

Injectable Fillers

Injectable fillers have the unique ability to fill and contour the face.

Fillers can be placed into the lips to create a fuller, more youthful look, or in the hollows of the cheeks to reduce a gaunt appearance. Facial scarring from acne or injury also responds well to soft tissue filler techniques. A variety of facial fillers have been developed that address a wide range of cosmetic aging changes.

Juvederm®

Juvederm is an injectable gel treatment made from hyaluronic acid. It is used to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles around the mouth.

As our skin ages, it produces less hyaluronic acid.  Hyaluronic acid in the skin keeps the skin appearing plump and youthful. When your body produces less hyaluronic acid, lines and hollow areas can appear. Juvederm can treat lines and hollows associated with aging.

Restylane

Restylane® is a family of injectable cosmetic treatments that are used on the face, around the mouth, to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Restylane products are injectable gels made from hyaluronic acid. These gels are used to temporarily correct facial wrinkles and folds, including smile lines, marionette lines and lip lines.

Sculptra

Sculptra® Aesthetic is an injectable treatment that corrects sunken areas of tissue, as well as lines around the nose and mouth and on the chin.

Dr. McMenamin offers Sculptra as a long-lasting option among the dermal filler treatments offered at our practice.

Liquid Silicone

Many injectable treatments have temporary results. Liquid silicone produces permanent results because it is never broken down by the body. This product is not specifically FDA approved for cosmetic treatments, but it is legal to use liquid silicone off label for cosmetic injections.
